QuestionWhy are there game intermissions? AnswerGamesville game shows, such as Three-Eyed Bingo and Magic 21, run on a continuous basis, 24 hours a day, and last for a specific amount of time. Between one game ending and the next game starting, there is a brief intermission (aka, the Emercial®) which features commercials -- that is, advertisements that our sponsors have paid us to display to you. These commercials help pay for the games and prizes that we offer. Since games start and stop according to a preprogrammed schedule - which does not necessarily coincide with when you first enter a given game - you may experience an intermission as soon as you click to play a given game. This is just like tuning into your favorite TV show and arriving during its commercial break. When your game's commercial break is over, your game will start again, or continue where it left off, depending on what kind of game you're playing.
Attention GV Gold Members! If you're a member of GV Gold, you will experience intermissions. This is because we need to keep all players synchronized and games starting and ending consistently for everyone playing. However, you will not see commercials during intermission; instead, you'll have random trivia questions or other content to interact with. During intermission, there is a countdown clock you can use to tell when your game will start again. It is located in the center of the horizontal bar that stretches across the top of the commercial window. When intermission is over, your commercial window should change to display the message "Intermission is over. Click the PLAY button to return to the game." with a big PLAY button underneath. Click it to return to your game. Please note: During game intermissions, the chat box pops up in a separate window so members can chat with each other during the commercial breaks. If you close the Intermission window, the chat window will automatically close and you will be knocked out of your game. |
