Gamesville.com - Help - How To Play Bottle Rocket

Question

How do I play Bottle Rocket?

Answer

  • The object of Bottle Rocket is to launch bottle caps from your cannon at the game board to create groups of three or more identical caps and clear them from the board.
  • The cap you are going to shoot will be loaded in your cannon.
  • Use your mouse to aim the cannon and then click to shoot the cap.
  • The red Guide shows where your bottle cap will land. Click the Guide button to the right of the cannon to turn the Guide on or off.
  • If your mouse cursor moves above the gray yard line, the cannon will not respond. You must keep the mouse below the yard line to control the cannon.
  • To the left of the cannon you will see the next cap that will be loaded into the cannon.
  • If your bottle caps cross the yard line the game is over.
  • The game is played in levels and you always begin on level 1.
  • To complete a level and advance you have to meet the point threshold.
  • You get 20 GV Rewards for completing Level 1; 50 GV Rewards for completing Level 2; 100 GV Rewards for completing Level 3; 150 GV Rewards for Level 4; and 200 GV Rewards for every level completed from Level 5 and above.
  • The points needed to complete the level are displayed in the upper right corner of the game board.
  • Your current point total is displayed in the upper left corner of the game board.
  • There are three factors at play for each level:
    1. Points needed to advance
    2. Number of unique caps
    3. Frequency with which a new row is added.

  • Below is the breakdown of the three factors for each level of the game:
One new row added for every 16 shots
    • Level 1: 6,000 points needed; 6 unique caps
    • Level 2: 7,000 additional points needed; 7 unique caps
    • Level 3: 8,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 4: 9,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 5: 10,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps

One new row added for every 12 shots
    • Level 6: 6,000 additional points needed; 6 unique caps
    • Level 7: 7,000 additional points needed; 7 unique caps
    • Level 8: 8,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 9: 9,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 10: 10,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps

Two new rows added for every 12 shots
    • Level 11: 6,000 additional points needed; 6 unique caps
    • Level 12: 7,000 additional points needed; 7 unique caps
    • Level 13: 8,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 14: 9,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 15: 10,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps

Two new rows added for every 8 shots
    • Level 16: 6,000 additional points needed; 6 unique caps
    • Level 17: 7,000 additional points needed; 7 unique caps
    • Level 18: 8,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 19: 9,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps
    • Level 20 and above: 10,000 additional points needed; 8 unique caps

  • You earn the following points for matches made:
    • 3 caps: 150 points
    • 4 caps: 300 points
    • 5 caps: 450 points

  • In addition to making matches, you can create Chain Reactions that earn you even more points.
  • If you make a match and it results in a bottle cap losing its anchor cap, the cap will automatically fly to any available cluster of two or more like bottle caps to make a match.
  • This will only occur if the two or more caps are not completely surrounded by other caps.
  • When a freed cap makes a match like this it is a chain reaction and earns bonus points.
  • It is possible to have multiple chain reactions in a row - in fact, that's what you should strive for!
  • We will add to the base points for a match the following bonus points for chain reactions:
    • First chain reaction: 150 points
    • Second chain reaction: 300 points
    • Third chain reaction: 450 points
    • Fourth chain reaction: 750 points
    • Fifth chain reaction: 1,050 points
    • Sixth chain reaction: 1,500 points
    • Seventh chain reaction: 2,250 points
    • Eighth and above: 3,000 points

  • If a freed cap cannot participate in a chain reaction it will fall off the board and you will receive 100 points for the cap.
  • When your caps come within one row of the yard line you will hear a warning alarm.
  • If your caps cross the yard line they all turn into unhappy faces and your game is over.
