Stormrush Currency Explained
If you’ve ever used a sweepstakes casino, the Stormrush setup will be pretty familiar. There are two virtual currencies, and it’s up to you how to play.
Gold Coins (GC) are for fun, but Sweeps Coins (SC) can later be cashed in for real money prizes. When you play using GC, you can only win GC – and vice versa. The two currencies are entirely separate.

Ts & Cs Worth Knowing

Purchase Bonuses

The Green Thunder Wheel is always free to spin, twice per day. However, spend at least $19.99 to unlock the Gold Thunder Wheel. Here, the minimum prizes are 1M GC and 1 SC, with a maximum of 25 SC up for grabs.
Coin Battery is a unique feature that rewards you for playing in SC mode. Charge the battery to a maximum of 50 SC, then “discharge” these coins into your existing balance.

Unfortunately, Stormrush only has slots in its 800-strong library. There are plenty of entertaining themes, but the quality is hit and miss.
Seventeen providers contribute, with some reasonably big names in the mix. Fantasma, Mancala Gaming, and AvatarUX stand out, but I can’t say I knew much about Penguin King before writing this review.
There are no table games, scratch cards, or other arcade games, and certainly no live casino. I saw fish shooting games as recently as September 2025, but they seem to have disappeared.

Stormrush Player Feedback
Because Stormrush is relatively new, there’s not a huge amount of public feedback. On Trustpilot, for instance, there were just six reviews when I wrote this guide.
Only the very first reviewer left a 5-star rating – always a little suspicious, especially when four of the next five leave just 1-star.
In fairness, these sites are full of losing players just looking to vent. Six reviews are too small a sample size to take seriously. But the early 2.7 out of 5 Trust Score doesn’t look great.
Common Complaints
The main complaint is the painfully slow support. That matches my own experience, having waited over two hours for a reply.
Another issue is the $25 maximum redemption on free SC. If SC were awarded after a GC purchase, redeem whatever you like. But SC from mail-in entries, or the initial no deposit bonus, is limited to just $25.
It does specify this in the Ts & Cs. But nobody reads them, leading to bad reviews.
