What is Stake Cash?

Stake Cash is one of two virtual currencies used at Stake.us, and these are initially given to you when you register to play at Stake in the US. We’ll take you through that process shortly, but first we need to look at these two currencies and how they add to your experience at Stake.us.

As you can see, they have their similarities and differences, so we’ll take each one in turn:

Gold Coins at Stake.us

These are the default virtual currency at Stake.us. They are used for entertainment only and make up most of the generous bonus you’ll receive when you sign up and use code GAMESVILLE. While this isn’t strictly speaking a Stake.us promo code for a no deposit bonus, it’s completely free. You’ll also get more in daily and other promotions, and you can even buy more if you want, but this is entirely optional.

You can play pretty much any game at Stake.us using Gold Coins or ‘GC’ and success is rewarded with even more GC, meaning you could build up quite a bank. GC are useful for testing out games to find a favorite, and then seeing how these games work, and are very versatile. The one thing you can’t do with them is withdraw, exchange or redeem them, no matter how many you have collected.

Using Stake Cash

Stake Cash has much in common with GC. You’ll get a generous amount of Stake Cash in that same welcome bonus, and you can also get more in the various bonuses and promotions that always seem to be available at Stake.us. You can use SC to play any game there too, in promotional mode where rewards for success are more SC. It’s there that similarities end, as you certainly can’t buy more SC, you’ll need to be given them or receive them as a free gift from an optional GC purchase.

The other big difference is that while you cannot redeem GC, you can redeem SC for real world prizes. There are minimum amounts you need to collect, a playthrough requirement and you’ll have other legal requirements to meet, but once you have met those you can request an SC redemption.

How to redeem Stake Cash pros and cons

Now that you know how Gold Coins and Stake Cash work at Stake.us, here are a few advantages and disadvantages when it comes to the SC redemption process:

Claiming Stake Cash

Before you can do any of this you’ll need to sign up with Stake.us and claim your Stake.us bonus. It’s free and handed to players who meet the eligibility requirements. You’ll need to be at least 21 and not in a restricted state, as Stake.us is not available everywhere. If you happen to be in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington or West Virginia, you’ll have to find an alternative.

Claiming your welcome bonus

As long as you meet these eligibility criteria, it’s time to move on to the next stage. Registration is actually very simple and can be covered in a few simple steps:

1. Use the links on this page to go to Stake.us.
2. Hit the blue ‘Register’ button top right to bring up the sign-up form.
3. Sign up with email or let your Facebook, Google, or Twitch account do the hard work.
4. Complete the required fields like email, username, password, state, date of birth, and phone number.
5. IMPORTANT – use exclusive code GAMESVILLE to unlock 25K Gold Coins and 25 in SC.
6. Read then accept the T&Cs.
7. Submit the form and go to your inbox to confirm your email.

Once this process is complete you should have access to that 25K Gold Coin and 25SC bonus as well as 200+ games to play it on. As we detail in the full Stake.us review, these will include slots, table games, a live casino and a range of ‘Original’ titles which are based on simple ideas like the ascent of a rocket or the roll of a dice. This is where you test the waters with your GC and finally use your SC, and that counts towards your playthrough requirement.

How to redeem on Stake.us

It doesn’t matter if you’ve got your SC through a free gift or a weekly bonus at Stake.us you’ll need to play your SC 3 times before they become redeemable. Before you can make an SC redemption request you’ll need at least 5 redeemable SC, but to take all the guesswork out of it, you’ll be able see the exact amount you have available on your account page. That is two out of the three boxes ticked, so next you’ll need to pass KYC and verify your account.

Verify your account

KYC stands for Know Your Customer and it is a form of verification that is legally required at sweepstakes casino operations. We recommend you get this done as soon as possible and not wait until you want to redeem, but if you’ve left it until now there are a few steps you need to complete:

• Log in and hit ‘verify your account’ to get started.
• You’ll need photos of ID like your drivers license or passport, as well as a recent utility bill or bank statement as proof of address.
• Upload these for Stake.us to confirm your identity – you may also have to take a selfie to show that your are the same person as is shown on the ID.
• It’s now up to Stake.us, so now sit back and wait to see if they need any further verification.

Once this part is complete you can finally request an SC redemption.

Redeeming your SC at Stake.us

This, like the other processes, is very straightforward, provided you have completed the other steps first. From here on, you can begin your SC redemption request by going to your account and following these steps:

1. Go to your account wallet and then the section marked ‘redeem’.
2. Enter the amount of Stake Cash you want to redeem (it must be less than your redeemable SC balance).
3. From the options, select your SC redemption method – if you have made an optional GC purchase these details will be on file.
4. Enter the details of the account you wish your SC redemption to be set to.
5. Submit the form, and wait for the SC redemption to process. Approval can take 24hrs, but the exact timeframe will depend on the method you have selected.

You can only make one SC redemption request every 24hrs, and you can track the progress in your wallet, and watch as the green line heads towards the 100% mark.
